Use dielectric grease in all Plug-N-Play connections to aid in installation and prevent possible corrosion on metal contacts.
Using dielectric grease in Plug-N-Play connections creates a barrier against moisture and foreign elements that can degrade your contacts over time. These single-use packets contain the same PTFE thickened synthetic silicone grease we use in every connection we make in-house. This grease is food-grade and safe for use anywhere you install DEKOR® lights.
To use the grease, twist the top off a packet and squeeze a small dollop across the male side of the Plug-N-Play connection. Fully press the connection together and wipe away any excess grease.
While your mileage may vary, we find one 1g packet to contain enough grease to protect 6-8 connections. The grease does not dry or cure, so you can open the packet at any point during your project.
