DEKOR® dimmable transformers are designed to be used with just about any wall rheostat dimmer available on the market today, and even works with most vintage dimmers as well. Whether the dimmer says for LED use or not, any dimmer will work with our transformers.
Please note when using an LED-specific dimmer, there is always transient voltage present, resulting in a small amount of light output from our lights at the dimmer's lowest setting before going completely off. Most of these LED dimmers have a built in trim pot to customize the LED light output when this voltage is present.
Each transformer has a classic plug end which can be used as is in a switch-operated outlet or removed for wiring directly to an outlet controlled by a dimmer. The transformer is rated IP68, making it water and rain-resistant to stand strong through severe weather and damp locations.
The dimmable transformer possesses the same fault protections as all other DEKOR® transformers: inrush current, short circuit and thermal overload to preserve the integrity of the unit. These transformers, although designed for residential use, are rated for commercial use as well, meaning the internal components are much more robust in performance and longevity.
Voltage and current output are the same as our other non-dimmable transformers, so using the transformer can produce the same stunning shine with our DEKOR® lights.
